We signed Elizabeth up to play in the Summer Basketball League for 5 - 8 year olds a couple weeks ago so she could stay busy during the summer.
This is her first time playing basketball so I wasn't sure if she would like it or not, especially since there are mostly boys on each team. (Each team has 1 to 2 girls, and Eliz is the only girl on her team.)
But so far she loves it!
The main purpose of the league is to teach kids the fundamentals of the game. They do not keep score, and everyone gets a chance to play.
She had her first game today and she even made a basket! Miguel must have been the proudest dad in the gym.
